Hi there, y’all! If you’re visiting from Veronica Forand‘s site, welcome!
Each day brings us a little bit closer to the release of The Truth Be Told, and I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am about sharing this book with you. For today’s RWW, author Victoria Barbour asked us to show her the cast of our most recent book or work in progress. I thought this would be the perfect time to share you the leading cast of The Truth in Lies Saga.
Let’s start off with our main male lead – Andrew Wise. I chose Chris Pine for many reasons, but the most important was his eyes. Drew’s eyes are a focal point for McKenzie, a window into his soul, and Chris Pine has those eyes that are just…yummy.
Next would be our main female lead: McKenzie Evans. McKenzie, or Mickie as Drew likes to call her, is a sweet southern girl. She has a heart of gold and is often a little naive about those she cares about. Reese Witherspoon is the perfect embodiment of these traits. She beautiful but doesn’t flaunt it, and she has that southern girl flare.
Jared Christopher is the best guy friend every girl needs. He’s sweet, sexy, and adores children. We’re talking about a guy who has a witty comment always at hand. He is comfortable in himself. Oh, and did I mention he’s also a musician who spends his days helping special needs children learn through his music? Gabriel Aubry definitely has that “just rolled out of bed” but sexy as hell look about him, just like Jared.
Olivia Hamilton, McKenzie’s former college roommate and best gal pal, as she sees it anyway, is represented by none other than the beautiful Emily Blunt. Even pregnant, Olivia manages to maintain a style that any woman would be envious of. However, be careful. Olivia isn’t one to be trifled with. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned…just saying.
Next on our list is Drew’s twin sister, Andrea Wise. She is the very reason no one, besides McKenzie, is allowed to call Drew, Andy. To him it’s a girl’s name since that’s his sister’s nickname. For Andie, I chose Jessica Lowndes. She’s gorgeous, snarky, and has a dancer’s body, which is perfect since Andie is a professional ballerina.
Next, we have Drew’s older brother, Gavin. Gavin is the voice of reason. He’s the typical big brother who’s always out to protect his younger siblings, even if there are moments he’d love to beat them himself. Gavin is kind and generous, but also a bit of a joker. Ewan McGregor is not only handsome, but has proven through his fantastic acting skills that he could portray these qualities easily.
Last, but certainly not least is Dr. Morgan Carter, portrayed by the lovely Isla Fisher. A fiery redhead, she’s Gavin’s perfect match. In the grand scheme of things, had she not demanded Gavin introduce their wedding planner, Olivia, to his baby brother, Drew, then this story would never have taken place. Drew would never have met McKenzie and their world’s would never have aligned. So, all in all, Drew and McKenzie should be thankful for Dr. Carter, soon to be Dr. Wise.
So that’s it, folks. When you read The Truth in Lies Saga, you can now envision the characters as I do. Be sure to check out how author Beth Carter sees her fabulous characters in her head.
Until next time!
